Football Champs“Sigma Chi is by far the greatest place to live. Ever.” – Emese Legeny (Sigma Chi cook since 1987)

The first and oldest housed Fraternity at Stanford, Sigma Chi proudly combines tradition, loyalty, and achievement with an unparalleled commitment to having a successful experience during college and beyond.

Sigma Chi is unlike any other Greek Chapter on campus. We definitely have a great time – at our parties, formals at off-campus locations, events with both on-campus sororities as well as sororities from Berkeley, Santa Clara, and USC, and regular pilgrimages to Tahoe, Vegas, Mexico, SoCal, and New Orleans’ Mardi Gras, among others. We have competitive teams for all IM sports, as well as Varsity and Club sports athletes, and love rallying for sporting events anytime, anywhere.

However, the Sigma Chi Experience goes beyond partying. Sigma Chi is committed to bringing together a group of ambitious men with varying interests who share a common goal: the desire to have a great time and form a close group of brothers. We bring together talented athletes, musicians, scholars, and campus leaders to form a fraternity of truly amazing people.

Our uniqueness extends to our house: we own it – a claim that no other fraternity on campus can make. Spend some time in our house and you will undoubtedly feel the real difference in the atmosphere of a Fraternity house, not a Fraternity dorm. We have recently completed a $3 million capital campaign for significant renovations on our Chapter House. We finished construction this past summer and when you step inside our  House, we’re proud to say you’ll experience the finest residence on campus.

Like Nowhere Else...

Membership in Sigma Chi offers the chance to be part of a prestigious legacy at Stanford and nationwide. Without question, Sigma Chi has the closest ties with its alumni of any Greek group on campus, providing career connections and social networks that last a lifetime. Improved alumni relations have helped many brothers secure jobs and internships. Sigma Chi at Stanford has recently implemented the Sigma Chi Alpha Omega Summer Internship program which has landed our Brothers positions at investment banks such as Morgan Stanley in New York, start-ups in Palo Alto, the UCLA Medical Center, as well as hedge funds, micro-breweries, and biotech companies in San Diego. The new program continues to grow and is a reflection of both the strength of our alumni relations and the capabilities of actives.

Most importantly, there is a solid foundation of brotherhood that characterizes our house. It is what binds together our different temperaments, talents, and convictions and creates lifelong friendships. We invite you to come over to The Hou’ anytime and catch a glimpse of the unique experience that is Sigma Chi.
